PRINCIPLES BEHIND RECEIVING
Everything in life is governed by principles and conditions, nothing just happens like that, there are certain rules that guide everything we want to get in life.
•If you want to pass an examination, you study your books.
•If you want to be rich, you work hard.
•If you want to grow spiritually, you pray hard.
There is nothing that happens accidentally, some conditions were observed either consciously or unconsciously.
Now, how can I attract good things to myself?
I will be using 2 bible passages:
1) Psalms 34 vs 10, "The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing."
2) Psalms 84 vs 11, "For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless."
We all need good things in life, nobody expects a bad thing in his life, even to the worst human being on earth. But we forget the condition that comes behind those good things, that is why we struggle a lot in life. We try to avoid those conditions to get what we want; it doesn't work that way.
Psalms 34 vs 10, "... but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing... "
What condition is given?
Seek the Lord, inquire of the Lord, this is the condition given. Then how many are seeking the Lord with their whole heart? But we need those good things.
How do we seek the Lord:
1) Pray daily
2) Study his word daily.
Matthew 6 vs 33, "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
Psalms 84 vs 11, "... no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless... "
What condition is given?
To walk uprightly, to walk blamelessly. This means living a holy life, a righteous life, a life that is set right before God. Knowing that we can't live righteously by ourselves, we need power from the Holy Spirit to live righteously before God.
Bearing this in mind, Isaiah 64 vs 6, "All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away."
Then, how can we be righteous before God?
Galatians 2 vs 20, "I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me."
Knowing that Jesus Christ is righteous, and that he lives in us is a full assurance of being righteous before God. Trust in the Lord Jesus Christ.
We now know the conditions attached in getting good things, apply this conditions, and be expectant of good things.
James 1 vs 17, "Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows."
Be Blessed...
