UNDERSTANDING FRIENDSHIP I

WHO IS MY FRIEND?

This question has been misunderstood by many; people can't give a direct definition or explanation who a friend is. Understanding this will help eliminate those who you think are friends to you.
A friend is someone other than your family or lover that you share close affection with. You share kindness, sympathy, empathy, compassion, common interests, common beliefs, loyalty, and fun with them.
Also, a friend is someone you allow to influence your life, whose mindset is same with yours.

                      5 BUILDING BLOCKS OF FRIENDSHIP:
1) True Friendship is built on the same material.
Prov 27 vs 17. Friends stay together, as long as the think together. Associate with those that have same mindset with you.
2) A friend loves at all times.
Prov 17 vs 17. A friend is a source of sustenance and lifting.
3)A friend is ready  to risk his friendship for you to make it in life.
Prov 27 vs 6. It is better to live with a wise enemy than a foolish friend. A friend who partners to do evil with you will do evil to you one day.
4) The apex of true friendship is sacrifice.
John 15 vs 13. A friend who can't inconvenience himself for your welfare is not a friend. Run from such persons.
5) Friendship is a platform for mutual influence.
Prov 13 vs 20. He that walks with the wise shall be wise. Associate with the right person.

Knowing this will help in getting the right friends ever, making your friendship very lovely and happy.
Prov 18 vs 24  "a man who has friends must himself be friendly, But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother."

Hope this was helpful?
